/ the beginning

Not so long ago, I was a Tank Commander in the British Army. The skills and experience I acquired in the Army have proven to be invaluable to me, and I’ll always be grateful for that time.

The Military lifestyle taught me discipline in each and every aspect of my life. Staying focused and high energy, even through the toughest of challenges.

/ the journey

Which leads me to what I do today.

In 2015, the British Army made numerous financial changes that would directly impact me and so I decided it was time to leave. In an environment where decisions are made top-down, I felt that I didn’t have much of a say in my own fate and destiny. I knew deep down that I wanted a change, to find something that would not only allow me the freedom to live a life designed by me, but would also positively affect others on their journeys too...

...I just didn’t know what that looked like yet.

Many people around me were shocked at my move... and having trained so hard, for so long in the same career for over 12 years - I understood why. The truth is, I’ve never been one to shy away from a challenge, and knew I was adaptable and flexible enough to dive head first into this one.

What I realised during this time, is that I’ve always had a passion for figuring things out. I’ve always had the ability to effectively and efficiently manage projects, others, and in this case, myself . And I’ve always had a knack for working with the smaller details to create the bigger picture.

Work with me

I could tell you that I went inward and did a ton of self reflection and analysis to discover my new career path, but that wouldn’t be honest or truthful. In actual fact - it presented itself to me by chance in late 2017. I was to code, and so I set out to learn the necessary skills from scratch.

I started to self teach in early 2018, and by mid 2019, I’d got my first gig - testament to the determination and dedication I’d grown so used to displaying in the Army! Working in tech has not only allowed me to enhance my hard skills in coding and web development (not to mention all the systems and softwares I’ve become expertised in!)...

...it’s also enabled me to strengthen my soft skills, the things that come naturally to me and set me apart from others in my field (such as my relatability, approachability and communicative skills - I hear I’m a great listener). I finally found a career that fulfills me (as much as I fulfill it!), and now I’m on a mission to aid you in building the online side of your business, so that you can help more people and make more money, with systems, softwares and sites that support you every step of the way.

behind the name

Along with my wife Bry, a highly talented, sought after branding photographer, and our two huskies Balto and Laika, I’ve travelled from LA to the Florida Keys (#vanlife), but my firm favourite places were Sedona for it’s spiritual scene and Monument Valley for it’s signal free stillness.

We were once a military family, but seeing as we’re now able to take our work with us wherever we go, we’re a freedom-focused family, loving nothing more than seeking out adventures.

02/ Discipline

Whilst having motivation is key to getting you going, what's equally important is having the discipline to stick to your routine, plan or process for achieving results. I always structure my days / weeks in advance, to have a healthy balance of work and playtime. It's how I'm able to stick to deadlines, stay mentally / physically fit and make the most of important family time.

Community over competition. I live by this saying and strive to be someone who’s open-minded, good-natured and easy to get on with in both my personal and professional life. I don’t view others in my field as competition but more ask myself ‘how can we collaborate?’.

I strongly believe in giving back where we can and even more so when it comes to helping people, animals and eco-friendly causes. That’s why each tax year I donate 5% of my revenue to charity - this year it was The Wildlife trusts and The British Red Cross.
